OK let us start by getting out your journal and take notes. If you do not have one www.lariatministries.org/ click on Prayer & Study, then under Resources N Tools menu click on Study Guide Solutions. This is an outline and study guide which URL’s to help you research.
Let me start off by saying this if you are saved and walking the talk, you should seek after what God wants for you. He has a plan and has given you a great gift, your Holy Spirit. Learn to surrender to Him and hear Him. Live not by the letter of the law, live by your Spirit. Here is great scripture. Rom 8:8-15  So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The Message Version  puts it this way; And God isn't pleased at being ignored. But if God Himself has taken up residence in your life, you can hardly be thinking more of yourself than of Him. Anyone, of course, who has not welcomed this invisible but clearly present God, the Spirit of Christ, won't know what we're talking about. But for you who welcome Him, in whom He dwells--even though you still experience all the limitations of sin--you yourself experience life on God's terms. It stands to reason, doesn't it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he'll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to Himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and He does, as surely as He did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With His Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ's! So don't you see that we don't owe this old do-it-yourself life one red cent. There's nothing in it for us, nothing at all. The best thing to do is give it a decent burial and get on with your new life. God's Spirit beckons. There are things to do and places to go! This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It's adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike "What's next, Papa?"
Isa 65:4 Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
Mat 7:6  Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
Mat 8:32  And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.
MSG Luk 15:14-21  After he had gone through all his money, there was a bad famine all through that country and he began to hurt. He signed on with a citizen there who assigned him to his fields to slop the pigs. He was so hungry he would have eaten the corncobs in the pig slop, but no one would give him any. "That brought him to his senses. He said, 'All those farmhands working for my father sit down to three meals a day, and here I am starving to death. I'm going back to my father. I'll say to him, Father, I've sinned against God, I've sinned before you; I don't deserve to be called your son. Take me on as a hired hand. He got right up and went home to his father. "When he was still a long way off, his father saw him. His heart pounding, he ran out, embraced him, and kissed him. The son started his speech: 'Father, I've sinned against God, I've sinned before you; I don't deserve to be called your son ever again.' My point is in the above verses is God does not like pigs, I my self surely will not put something in my body that displease Abba Father. They do make turkey sausage and bacon. I know the bacon does not taste the same. I love Baby Back ribs too. Yet in my research pork is really bad for your heart. Yet Mark 7:19 says all meat is OK. I say let your Holy Spirit be your guide. MSG Mar 7:19  It doesn't enter your heart but your stomach, works its way through the intestines, and is finally flushed." (That takes care of dietary quibbling; Jesus was saying that all foods are fit to eat.) In Mark 7 Jesus is concerned in what comes out of your mmouth, for that is whats in your heart.
Now most people have a notion that when Jesus came He did away with the old testament. Read Hebrews and you should have a better understanding of the new covenant. Don’t repeat what someone told you, read and understand it for yourself. He fulfilled not eliminated the old testament. We still honor the Ten Commandments don’t we? What I am saying the gist of everything in the old testament is in us now, we are born with it in our DNA and by the Holy Spirit helping us discern it.
Leviticus chapter 11 lists the dietary restrictions God gave to the nation of Israel. The dietary rules were never intended to apply to anyone other than Israel. Did Jesus later declares all foods clean (Mark 7:19) ? God gave the apostle Peter a vision in which He declares concerning formerly unclean animals, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean” (Acts 10:9-23) Related verse Act_10:28, Act_11:9, Act_15:9, Act_15:20,Act_15:29; Mat_15:11; Rev_14:14-17, Rev_14:20; 1Co_10:25; Gal_2:12, Gal_2:13; 1Ti_4:3-5; Tit_1:15; Heb_9:9, Heb_9:10 . When Jesus died on the cross, He did put an end to the Old Testament law it is in you through the Holy Spirit. Some people try to make a case that the law is no more. (Romans 10:2-5; Galatians 3:22-29; Ephesians 2:12-16). They say this includes the laws regarding clean and unclean foods. I myself disagree. Jesus said not to live by the letter of the law, live by your Holy Spirit. I have concluded to live by my Holy Spirit. So I ask about any food I want to eat. I am over whelmed with a emphatic stop or warning it is bad for me. Sometimes it may because it is spoiled or I am allergic to it or it has bad chemicals or lectins or some big scientific name.
Romans 14:1-25 I conclude to think it teaches us that not everyone is mature enough in their faith to accept the fact that all foods are clean. As a result, if you are with someone who would be offended by you eating “unclean” food – you should give up your right to do so as to not offend the other person. The old saying when in Rome do as the Romans. I think we have the right to eat whatever we want, yet we do not have the right to offend other people, even if they are wrong. Follow what your Holy Spirit. Sometimes your Spirit may tell you not to eat something because of it’s age or preparation. Sometimes you may susceptible to a reaction of some kind. Learn to listen to your Holy Spirit. For the Christian in this age though, we have freedom to eat whatever we wish as long as it does not cause someone else to stumble.
The Bible is far more concerned with how much we eat than what we eat. Physical appetites are an analogy of our ability to control ourselves. If we are unable to control our eating habits we are probably also unable to control other habits such as those of the mind (lust, covetousness, unrighteous hatred/anger) and unable to keep our mouth from gossip or strife. We are not to let our appetites are control us rather than us controlling them. See Deuteronomy 21:20, Proverbs 23:2, 2 Peter 1:5-7, 2 Timothy 3:1-9, 2 Corinthians 10:5.

Was Jesus a meat eater?
First, let me make it clear, Jesus was not a vegetarian. The Bible records Jesus eating fish (Luke 24:42-43) and lamb (Luke 22:8-15). Jesus miraculously fed the crowds fish and bread, a strange thing for Him to do if He was a vegetarian (Matthew 14:17-21). Like I said earlier in a Mark 7 Jesus said all meat are ok to eat. After the Flood in Noah's time, God gave humanity permission to eat meat (Genesis 9:2-3). God has never taken this permission back.
With all that said, there is nothing wrong with being a vegetarian. The Bible does not command us to eat meat. There is nothing wrong with eating meat. There is nothing wrong with abstaining from eating meat, or is there? Adam and Eve ate fruits and herbs. You read and judge.
What the Bible tells us is that we should not force our convictions on this issue onto other people. Romans 14:2-3 tells us, "One man's faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him."

I hear all kinds of explanations in people explaining the word to say that we are to be vegetarians. Other that we can eat anything. If you only use certain scriptures you make the word say what you want. Beware of doing this God does not take kindly to it. Like God tells us use your Holy Spirit to live your life, no matter what the issue. Learn to hear God speak to you through your Holy Spirit.
Again, Did God give humanity permission to eat meat after the Flood (Genesis 9:3). In the Old Testament law, the nation of Israel was commanded to not eat certain foods (Leviticus 11:1-47). Remember Jesus did not do away with the old law He fulfilled it. That did not means to go against the ten commandments did it? Well the old testament is still law. We have the law and God’s love in us. We are to live by the Holy Spirit. The old testament never commanded against eating meat. Did Jesus declared all foods, including all kinds of meat, to be clean (Mark 7:19)? As with anything, each and every Christian should pray for guidance as to what God would have them eat. Whatever a person decides to eat is acceptable to God as long as we thank Him for providing (1 Thessalonians 5:18). 1 Corinthians 10:31 declares, "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

I say discern and ask God if you should eat a certain food or not. To follow a certain diet or not. I say find a way your Holy Spirit tells you and live it. I know you will not be drinking sodas and eating junk food all that often. I also know He would shy away from manufactured foods. He also would tell you to eat 40% of raw foods. Fruits and vegetables. I know because I have researched this for 10 years and healthy eating habit preserves the body and That is what I think He would tell you. Now He will tell you not to eat something that most everyone else eats, that is because He knows it is something you are allergic or it is a weight gainer.

What about disorders in eating does the word cover that?
There are three major eating disorders: gluttony, anorexia, in which people purposefully under eat; bulimia, in which people binge on food and then purge; and the most common, binge eating, which is plain gluttony. Polls taken have reported differing numbers, but at least 1 out of every 10 women will have experienced an eating disorder at some time in their lives, and some polls suggest that as many as 1 out of 4 will. This could be considered epidemic! Eating disorders do not only affect women, either: approximately 10% of those with an eating disorder are men.
Gluttony seems to be something that Christians like to ignore. We are often quick to label smoking and drinking as sins...yet for some reason gluttony is accepted or tolerated. Many of the arguments used against smoking and drinking, such as health and addiction, apply equally to overeating. May I remind you that we all are under the curse. It has been handed down from generation to generation and family to family. Some it is drug addictions, some it is sex addictions, some are food disorders, some are body disorders or birth defects. There are many curses. So lighten up, and I am not saying light up a cigarette. Many believers would not even consider having a glass of wine or smoking a cigarette, yet have no qualms about gorging themselves at the dinner table to the point that they feel like they are going to explode, yes this is a no, no…! Proverbs 23:20-21 warns us, "Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags." Proverbs 28:7 declares, "He who keeps the law is a discerning son, but a companion of gluttons disgraces his father." Proverbs 23:2 proclaims, "put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony."

Eating disorders have many reported causes: stress, personality traits (obsessive compulsive, perfectionism), media, and unhealthy relationships. The blame is passed around freely, too. "I'm too stressed out at work to eat;" "If I want to look like that model, I need to lose just a little more weight;" "My husband will love me more if I'm skinnier;" "So I'm gaining weight--everybody is obese these days!"
However, it really only comes down to one thing: self. Each of us makes his or her own decisions on what we do with our bodies and how well we take care of them. Learn to use your gift from God, your Holy Spirit. To have an eating disorder is to focus on yourself, to the exclusion of everyone else--even God. It is to engage in unhealthy, dangerous, and potentially deadly habits without regard to consequences. It is selfishness, and biblically it is disobedience. It is sin. Remember food and drugs and your curses are the tools of the devil to steal your life and what God has for you. The world thinking is satan’s thinking. From evolution to yum eat this it will give your senses ultimate pleasure. God has given us mind and scriptur to use our minds in making wiser choices that those who are lost and dieing.
A commonly known verse in the Bible is 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, yet rarely is much thought given to it. "Or don't you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. (NLT)" Add to this passage such passages as: Romans 14:7-8 (NLT), "For we are not our own masters when we live or when we die. While we live, we live to please the Lord. And when we die, we go to be with the Lord. So in life and in death, we belong to the Lord;" Romans 12:1-2 (NLT), "And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice-the kind he will accept. When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask? Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is;" and 1 Peter 1:13-16 (NLT), "Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. Yet now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God-who chose you to be His children-is holy. For he himself has said, 'You must be holy because I am holy.'"

So there you have it. Judge for your self. Ask God about your eating and personal care for your temple. Your Holy Spirit will guide if you let Him. Eating disorders, do they or do they not fall into line with Scripture? People reject a Creator Whose love for mankind transcends physical traits (1 Samuel 16:7; 1 Peter 3:3-4). Eating disorders are in disobedience to God's command to take care of oneself, and to be holy. A life of holiness, a life given over to God, is a life taken well care of. Our bodies are not our own--God owns them. We are stewards of all He gives us, and we need to be good stewards of our bodies as well. It is with self-control that we deny both gluttony and starvation, and it is with transformed minds that we see past the superficiality of our culture's demands and reject the eating disorders that would otherwise destroy each of us. Saints don’t be aints, believers are the receivers. Doubters are the with outers. So you want what God wants to give you. Then listen up and learn to hear your Holy Spirit in alllllllllll things and be obedient.
