Baptism What it really means and what every flatlander or Novice Christian should know.
Salvation, Baptism, drowned old man, Sozo (saved), Subdue, Trinity, & The Word.
Baptism:
1. rite of purification: a religious ceremony in which somebody is sprinkled with or immersed in water to symbolize purification. In Christian baptisms, the person is often named and accepted into the Christian faith.
2. initiation or naming ceremony: a ceremony that serves as an initiation or naming ritual . That is world’s definition of baptism.
What it means to us, is 'eternal life' and 'freedom' from our old selves and worldly thinking. We are a new creation that does not have nature that wants to sin, it means we have a new 'way' to live in a world of sin and we now have access to God and the Kingdom living. It’s “Salvation and Baptism” what this really means: Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 'Yeeeeah', the the old man was drowned when we were baptized. The wonderful gifts you receive are eternal life, a way to live free from sin and guilt, and best of all is your Holy Spirit lives in you and will help you in everything in life, all we have to do is ask.
God does His part, now you have to do your part. I believe that when you accept and proclaim your salvation and you are (immersed) in water, this is symbolic of death of the old man, then being buried, then resurrected to life, and being raised back up out of the water to eternal life and your love walk with Jesus. It drowns the old man and it washes away the old sin and ways by the power of the Blood of Jesus in cleanses you from your sins, by the blood shed on the day in Calgary of the cross. In this you are baptized, then God gives you the power to make the right choice and turn away from sin and temptation around us. Jesus has given you a brand new creation, & “way“. By your commitment it is liken to a marriage to Jesus. Even though we know that we still have old habits and memories, which only knows the old ways, we have to ask our Holy Spirit teach our new creation the new way, make new mindsets like the bible tells us, so read the bible.
It is like when you marry someone, you stop dating other people and commit to your new spouse, and commit to the love for one another. Being a servant to one another and understanding sozo of it. Like I said before, Sozo is a Greek word for Salvation, a wholeness, what I call being fully filled. The way to keep fully filled is to spend time in God’s presence. That is what salvation and baptism is like. It is easy to do, yet the process is hard, we need not only to confess, we need to be with other Christians as much as we can. Friends, baptism in my life did not take the first time. Meaning I did not understand the significance. I did it because I knew that is what I must do because everyone said so. It took four times to soak into my thick skull of what this really meant. After a lot of falling down in life I finally understood a lot of things. I don’t fall as much now, because I walk in love in a relationship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. I ask them everything about everything and know I experience everything with them, for now I know God lives in me.
Man has such a need for help and instruction, only pride steps up and gets in the way. Life has taught man to be independent. The word and God teaches we need to help one another and love one another, to depend on one another and God. God is your source of everything. Today man seems to depend on the government for his substance and feels it owes them. The people in Washington DC can only provide basics of freedom. Monetary and food should be coming through you from God. The way to live is to render to Washington what is Washington’s and render to God that is God’s. Ask God through your relationship with Him, start talking to Him as you would as a best friend and/or as a you would ask your dad. The problem is today failed relationship in family we cannot understand the ‘Leave it to Beaver’ concept or ‘Ozzie Nelson Family’ way. It is dog eat dog the way of today’s world. We need to learn and understand sowing and reaping, the ‘Good Samaritan’ way. The biggest lie is we are sinners and cannot walk as Jesus or that we do not deserve goodness and blessing from God. I am here to tell you that God’s word and promises and principles are of love and are love and that He loves you and you are adopted into the Royal Family of Jesus when you accept Jesus and believe the Gospels of Jesus the Christ.
Now go study sozo, the trinity, seek secrets of the word and subdue your world and give the good news to ever will listen. Remember plant seed every where you never know where or they will grow. Learn to understand the promises and principles of the word. Then learn their power, and work at being familiar with your Holy Spirit. He is your new best friend, let Him Bring you closer to Jesus and our Father in Heaven with the goal of being in an intimate relationship with all three mysteries of God.Soak in the Lord's presence and become fully filled so you can do signs and wonders super natrually in miracles of healing wonders for God's glory.
